LEICESTER have been forced into a further change ahead of tonight’s Championship clash with Birmingham at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena (7.30pm).

Lion Cubs regular Luke Ruddick, who was due to guest for World Under-21 semi-finalist Jack Thomas, has been ruled out after a crash at Edinburgh on Friday.

Ruddick will miss this weekend’s meetings as he suffered a knock to the head, meaning he is also out of the Cubs’ KO Cup trip to Mildenhall on Sunday.

Lions’ alternative options to cover for Thomas tonight are very much restricted by the busy schedule elsewhere, with potential candidates already booked to guest for other teams.

The club are therefore grateful to Cubs rider Ryan MacDonald for agreeing to take the booking at short notice.

For the Cubs’ trip to West Row tomorrow, the club have secured the services of former Mildenhall stalwart Dan Halsey, whose average is just below that of Ruddick, and they will continue to operate rider-replacement for Jamie Halder.
