LEICESTER have completed the signing of Nick Morris as their second rider for the 2022 Championship season.

Morris enjoyed an impressive first year with the club scoring over 200 points from his 19 meetings and won an impressive 46 of his 92 races.

The Aussie ace is delighted to be back with the Watling JCB Lions and believes there is plenty more to come.

“I’ve enjoyed it at Leicester, it’s been good to be back racing in the UK after we lost the entire 2020 season,” he said.

“I’m pleased to be back and even though I did pretty well I think I can do more if I can find some more consistency.

“I’m confident I can build on this year and go even better next season. I’m looking forwards to a short break and then I’ll be back stronger for 2022.”

Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: ““Nick had a decent season for us, but I still think there’s a bit more to come. He was very fast from about July onwards, and hopefully being back at Leicester next season will give him a consistent platform to build on the good work he did this year.

“When he got a 15-point maximum against Poole he just blew away their top three, and that’s the sort of stuff I know he can do.

“We just need to get that on a little bit more of a consistent basis, but overall it was a good season for him and he knows himself there’s still a little more there.”
