THE Lion Cubs have a quick turnaround as they head to Iwade to face Kent on Sunday (midday start).

The Royals were saved over the winter after the loss of their Central Park venue, moving to the Old Gun site which formerly staged racing under the name of Sittingbourne in the 2000s.

The home side track a powerful top two of experienced NDL duo Alfie Bowtell and Ben Morley, and also include former Lion Cubs rider Jamie Halder.

Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “It will be a tough meeting as they’ve got strong riders like Bowtell and Morley, and Danno Verge as well.

“I do think key for the league this year is going to be grabbing those away points, and after such an encouraging start for us on Saturday, we hope to carry that on.”

KENT: Alfie Bowtell, Jamie Halder, Danno Verge, Joe Alcock, Ben Morley, Chris Watts, Sam Woolley.
LEICESTER: Dan Thompson, Mickie Simpson, Connor Coles, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson, Vinnie Foord, Max Perry.
