LEICESTER can confirm new dates for their outstanding two home Sports Insure Premiership fixtures – and it means a bumper Bank Holiday weekend of racing.
The Watling JCB Lions will revert to their former racenight for a re-arranged home clash with Sheffield, which will take place on Saturday August 26 at 6.30pm.
Despite this not being a regular Premiership racenight, all riders from both clubs are available for the meeting (naturally subject to any injuries).
This match will immediately be followed by the Lion Cubs’ NDL clash with Oxford, which was already scheduled for that date and will now form the second part of a double header.
The Lions are then back in action on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, with the action getting underway at Belle Vue at midday as originally scheduled.
They will then return to the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park to face King’s Lynn that evening with a later start of 8pm in order to assist with travel. This is not a live televised fixture.
The Lions’ next home meeting is this coming Thursday, August 17, when they take on Wolverhampton in another vital clash of Premiership play-off contenders.
Admission for the double header on August 26 will be held at normal Premiership prices. There will be no additional charge for the NDL meeting.
All pre-ordered tickets for the rained-off Sheffield fixture on August 3 have been automatically transferred to the new date. Please contact the club if you are unable to make the new date.
