LEICESTER Lion Cubs are also in action on Friday – at the opposite end of the UK to the Lions, as they visit Armadale (7.30pm).

It’s the final meeting of the regular NDL campaign and also potentially the last-ever speedway meeting at Edinburgh’s home, which is scheduled to close at the end of the season.

The Lion Cubs are already secure at the top of the league table, and are into the Grand Final against Mildenhall on Sunday, but the match is more significant for the Devils who need a win to move off the bottom.

Dan and Joe Thompson both miss the trip due to their involvement in the senior Grand Final, with the Cubs bringing in Kyle Bickley to guest at No.1, whilst rider replacement is in operation at No.5.

Max Perry is also unavailable with Kieran Douglas coming in to guest, under the regulation which allows for a facility to be granted for riders aged 18 and under providing three days’ notice is given.

Connor Coles steps in to captain the side in the absence of Joe Thompson.

ARMADALE: Lee Complin, Josh Embleton, Danny Phillips, Elliot Kelly, Tom Woolley, Gregor Millar, Owen Booth.
LEICESTER: Kyle Bickley, Kieran Douglas, Connor Coles, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson r/r, Vinnie Foord, Mickie Simpson.
