BRITISH Under-21 Champion Sam Hagon and Lion Cubs captain Joe Thompson both compete in SGP2 qualifiers this weekend.
The aim is to reach the three-round series for what is essentially the World Under-21 title, and success this weekend will mean a quickfire trip to Malilla, Sweden next weekend.
Hagon races at German venue Ludwigslust, whilst Thompson – along with brother Dan – makes the trip to Italy to race at Terenzano, with both meetings taking place on Saturday.
The top four riders from each round – and the other qualifier at Macon, France – reach the SGP2 series with three permanent Wild Cards also to be named.
