TEAM NEWS UPDATE: LIONS v KING'S LYNN

LEICESTER will face a revised King’s Lynn team at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park tonight (Thursday).

The Stars are without Ben Cook and Jan Kvech due to injury, after both withdrew from their last meeting at Birmingham on Monday. In addition Nicolai Klindt is now required to race in Poland.

Cook’s brother Zach will be guesting at reserve, whilst the visitors operate rider replacement for Kvech, and they bring in Poole’s Tobias Thomsen to stand in for Ben.

Leicester manager Stewart Dickson said: “I sympathise with the position King’s Lynn have found themselves in, especially with injuries affecting them at this time.

“However, from our point of view we still need to approach the meeting properly because they still have some very capable riders.

“We have to see it as an opportunity to add league points and hopefully leave ourselves in a good position for the aggregate point, and our riders will be fully aware of what they need to do.”

LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Luke Becker R/R, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Drew Kemp, Joe Thompson.
KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Tobias Thomsen, Jan Kvech R/R, Zach Cook, Luke Harrison.
