LEICESTER skipper Max Fricke has received a major boost heading into tonight’s (Monday) first leg of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Grand Final.
Fricke has secured one of three nominated berths for the 2026 Grand Prix series, meaning he will once again play a full part in the World Championship series next year.
Having finished eighth overall this season, just outside the automatic qualifiers, he was always one of the favourites to get the nod, and the selectors have ruled in his favour.
It’s also good news for one of his opponents this week as Ipswich star Jason Doyle, a former World Champion, is on the list as well.
The third place goes to Great Britain’s Tai Woffinden who is planning a full comeback in 2026 after the horrific crash in Poland back in March which ruled him out for the whole of the campaign.
A reminder that Fricke and Doyle go head-to-head TONIGHT at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park as the Watling JCB Lions face Ipswich!
