THREE members of Leicester’s 2024 team will gain some much-needed UK track time over the coming days in the build-up to next Thursday’s Premiership opener.
The Watling JCB Lions now kick off their league campaign at home to King’s Lynn on Thursday (March 21) after the postponement of this week’s scheduled opener against Belle Vue.
Richard Lawson will be racing at Redcar on Sunday in Charles Wright’s Testimonial meeting, whilst Max Fricke and Luke Becker compete in the Peter Craven Memorial at Belle Vue on Monday.
Sam Masters was due to race in the Ben Fund Bonanza at Workington on Saturday, but that meeting was an early victim of the weather and has been re-arranged for Sunday March 24.
The Lions will also be back together as a team for next Wednesday’s (March 20) Premiership Media Day at Belle Vue, before facing the Stars at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park on Thursday.
